On November 22nd, Eau Claire’s Pablo Center at the Confluence will host what’s shaping up to be a truly unique night of music and visuals. Ross Mintzer, who’s not only an accomplished music producer but also a licensed pilot, will headline the event. Mintzer, known for his genre-blending style, is expected to deliver a live performance that music enthusiasts will be talking about for quite a while.

At the core of this show is Mintzer’s personal vision of creating an atmosphere that brings people together, encouraging self-expression and inspiration. His music pulls heavily from his own life experiences, including his Ashkenazi Jewish heritage and the story of Joseph, which has influenced his thoughts on dreams and purpose. Through his sound, Mintzer hopes to connect with the audience on these deeper themes, offering something more than just a night of entertainment.

A key part of this show is its intricate stage production. Max Koehler, who is handling the visual and audio design for the event, is meticulous in his approach to the experience. “Stage production plays a pivotal role in crafting an immersive experience that amplifies Ross’ music. Our approach involves meticulously programming visuals, lights, and lasers to create a visual narrative that complements and enhances the emotional journey of each song,” says Koehler. Expect a mix of striking visual narratives, perfectly timed lights, and lasers designed to elevate each song’s emotional journey. From intense bursts of energy during high points to softer visual cues during more introspective moments, the production will be as dynamic as the music itself.

Mintzer isn’t taking the stage alone, though. Joining him are DOKTOR and Nolephant, both of whom will add layers of excitement to the evening. DOKTOR, with his signature high-energy blend of house, bass, and dubstep, will kick things off at 6:00 PM. Known for igniting crowds with his mixes, DOKTOR’s set will be the perfect start to the evening. Following him, Nolephant will take the stage at 7:00 PM. Hailing from Eau Claire and having built a strong following, Nolephant brings a genre-bending approach to electronic music. His tracks, shaped by collaborations with groups like Swank Lloyd Right, have been recognized for pushing creative boundaries and are sure to add another layer of excitement to the night.

Ross Mintzer’s music is a reflection of his unique journey through different genres. His ability to weave live saxophone into his digital productions gives his sound a layered complexity that stands out. Influenced by classic rock and pop, Mintzer’s work has evolved as he’s navigated the shift from traditional instruments to electronic music production. “For me, performing goes beyond just playing songs. It’s about creating an atmosphere where the audience can really feel a part of the experience,” Mintzer says. He aims for his performances to leave people not just entertained, but uplifted, with a deeper sense of connection to themselves.

Robert Garcia, his publicist at Maximatic Media, echoes the sentiment: “Ross has a talent for making every performance a personal experience. His energy on stage, paired with the visual elements, creates something that stays with people long after the show ends.”

Doors open at 6:30 PM, and this show is shaping up to be far from your average concert.
