Rita Ora was forced to cancel a gig in Budapest last night after being hospitalised.

The singer was set to play a show at the Campus Fesztival on Sunday (July 28) but pulled out at the last minute due to an unexpected illness.

“Please forgive this unexpected turn of events but sadly I will not be able to perform at Campus Fesztival tonight,” she told fans via X/Twitter. “Having spent the night in hospital in Budapest, I must rest thoroughly and follow doctor’s orders.”

She added: “I am so sorry to my fans who are going to be there today and I’m truly thankful for your understanding.”

A since-deleted post from Ora on Instagram appeared to reveal that she was suffering from kidney stones, but no official reasoning has since been re-posted.

Ora’s last album, You & I, dropped in June 2023. It featured singles ‘You Only Love Me’, ‘Praising You’ and ‘Don’t Think Twice’, and followed her 2018 LP, Phoenix.

Earlier this year, she released new single ‘Ask and You Shall Receive’, co-written by RAYE.
