Oasis have announced details of a ballot for pre-sale tickets for their long-awaited reunion tour, taking place across the UK and Ireland next summer.

Yesterday (August 27), the Britpop legends confirmed that they will play their first gigs together in 16 years at venues including London’s Wembley Stadium and Manchester’s Heaton Park.

The tour will kick off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4, before a run of dates across the UK and Ireland concludes at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 17 next year.

Those shows include four dates at London’s Wembley Stadium and four at Heaton Park. General sale tickets will go on sale this Saturday (August 31), but fans can also apply for a ballot for a pre-sale that takes place on Friday.

Fans can register for the pre-sale here, with a message saying: “To ensure the maximum number of fans have a fair opportunity to access tickets, applicants will be selected for the pre-sale via a ballot. Ballot registration is open now and will close at 7pm BST, this Wednesday 28th August.

“Successful applicants will receive an email with full access information the morning of Friday 30th August. Success in the ballot will not guarantee tickets. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.”

A statement from the band about the show reads: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
