Yungblud has announced he will hit the road next year for his first UK arena tour, marking his biggest shows to date.
After selling out London’s Alexandra Palace last year, the Doncaster star will tackle another of the capital’s iconic venues in the form of Wembley Arena on February 25.
Supported by Neck Deep, the tour will kick off at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on February 16, before winding its way to arenas across the country ahead of a string of European dates.
Yungblud will also release his forthcoming self-titled studio LP on 2 September via Locomotion/Geffen Records. The album will include previously-released tracks ‘The Funeral’, ‘Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today’, and ‘Memories’, which features Willow. The singer unveiled ‘The Funeral’ in March alongside a music video featuring Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.
The singer, real name Dominic Harrison, previously hailed the record as the “most personal” of his career to date.
Speaking of the LP, Harrison explained: “I went to a part of myself that I didn’t know was there. I studied it, I bathed in the emotion, tried to solve the equation and come up with an answer (at least for now) from love to pain, adoration to abandonment, laughter to betrayal.”
Announcing the record, he previously said: “Everything up to this moment has been a complete explosion of uncensored expression, where I just told the truth and sang about what I felt in that exact moment,” Yungblud explained on Instagram. “The difference here is that i have thought and felt this record so deeply. i went to a part of myself that I didn’t know was there. i studied it, i bathed in the emotion, tried to solve the equation and come up with an answer (at least for now) from love to pain, adoration to abandonment, laughter to betrayal.”
He continued: “My message is the same, it will always be; i will continue to be nothing but myself and encourage others to do the same. there is simply no other option. i hope it provides my beautiful family who have followed me throughout this journey answers about themselves but also questions and challenges, but most importantly I hope it fills them with love.”
