Yard Act have announced a five-night hometown residency at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds – find all the details below.
The Mercury Prize-nominated band are due to return to the beloved independent venue for a run of headline shows on May 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 alongside a cast of comedians who will serve as the support acts.
Harry Hill, Nish Kumar, Rose Matafeo and Lolly Adefope are set to join a “surprise guest act” who will play “their last show before hibernation”, per a press release.
In a statement, Hill said: “Yard Act made me cry – but once I’d got over the fee I jumped at the chance!”
Matafeo added: “Emboldened by mid Glastonbury courage, I approached [Yard Act frontman] James [Smith] in a crowd waiting to see Little Simz to tell him how much I loved Yard Act. Who knew it would pay off this hard! I’m very excited to share the stage with one of my favourite bands.”
Yard Act tweeted: “We’re bringing some friends over to Leeds for one last week long hurrah down [the Brudenell] before we crack on with album 2.”
A ticket pre-sale will go live at 10am GMT this Thursday (March 9) – you can sign up here. Check out the official poster in the announcement post below.
