Wet Leg have made their US TV debut with a thrilling performance of ‘Chaise Lounge’ – watch below.

The Isle Of Wight duo – aka Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers – appeared as the musical guests on last night’s (December 8) episode of ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’.

Playing live in the studio, the pair, joined by their touring band, ripped through a particularly raucous rendition of their viral hit while bathed in purple, green and blue flashing lights. A green neon ‘Wet Leg’ sign sat in front of the drum kit.

The live TV performance came after the group began their debut North American headline tour in New York on Tuesday (December 7). Yesterday they performed at Union Pool in Brooklyn ahead of a second gig at Baby’s All Right tonight (9).

Further concerts are scheduled for Los Angeles (13, 14) and San Francisco (15, 16). The band are also supporting Chvrches on select dates of the Scottish trio’s US tour.

“OH CRUMBS!! Our first ever US tour starts in New York tonight how did this happen?” Wet Leg wrote on Instagram as their stateside stint kicked off. “Anyone else getting industry plant vibes.”

The duo will hit the road in the UK next month, with stop-offs planned for Manchester (January 28), Southampton (30), Margate (February 1), London (2) and Bristol (3). An additional run of UK headline dates is due to commence in April.

Wet Leg are set to release their self-titled debut album on April 8 via Domino. It’ll include the previously released singles ‘Chaise Lounge’, ‘Wet Dream’, Too Late Now’ and ‘Oh No’. Those tracks were recently showcased on NPR’s Tiny Desk series.

Meanwhile, Wet Leg have been nominated for the BBC Sound Of 2022 award alongside the likes of Baby Queen, Yard Act and PinkPantheress.

“We want to be recognised as guitar heroes,” the duo explained previously of their vision. “We agreed on the premise of our band there and then: as long as you’re having fun, then everything will be alright, and we’ve told ourselves that we’ll stick to that, always.”
