Ahead of the release of Boybands Forever, Rolling Stone UK can exclusively share the first trailer for the anticipated BBC series.

The three-part documentary will launch on BBC Two on Saturday 16 November and explores the inside story of boyband mania during the 90s and early 00s.

It’s set to feature exclusive accounts from the characters who had their live changed by the phenomenon – including Robbie Williams and Brian McFadden– as well as the music execs who created the groups in the first place.

“It was just a wall of screams and hormones,” Williams reflects in the first trailer. “It went off!”

Produced by Louis Theroux and Nancy Strang (Mindhouse Productions), the series follows the life changing reality of new-found fame at a young age, while also offering honest accounts of the pivotal behind-the-scenes moments that shaped their careers and reflecting on those times decades later.

Other big name stars lending their accounts to the series include Anthony Costa, Simon Webbe, Duncan James (Blue), Tony Mortimer, Terry Coldwell, John Hendy (East 17) and music bosses such as Simon Cowell (RCA Records) Nigel Martin-Smith (Take That) and Louis Walsh (Westlife).

The first two episodes of the series will air back-to-back on BBC Two on Saturday 16th November at 9:15PM with the third episode airing a week later on BBC Two Saturday 23rd November. All three episodes will drop on BBC iPlayer from 9:15PM on Saturday 16th November.
