Warpaint, Helado Negro and more to play Arizona’s HOCO festival
The September festival also features a sustainability summit, waste sorting program and more
Tucson, Arizona-based festival HOCO has revealed its line-up and sustainability mission for 2022, with Warpaint and Helado Negro on the bill.
The festival, which was founded in 2005, will return to downtown Tucson on the weekend of 1-4 September.
Others set to play include Arooj Aftab, MICHELLE, Fucked Up, Mdou Moctar and more.
Alongside the music, HOCO 2022 will also host the first Sonoran Desert Sustainability Summit on September 3, which, according to a press release, “aims to foster connection between creative and ambitious minds to build toward a more regenerative future in the Sonoran Desert, which currently sits on the front lines of the climate crisis, water shortages, food insecurity, desertification, and extensive drought.”
Elsewhere, HOCO will take part in a ‘cross border collaboration’ with Mexico City-based event NRMAL, which aims to “bring the two communities closer together and foster cross border connection and collaboration.”
