Tyler, The Creator, Cardi B, SZA and more for double-weekend Wireless Festival
A$AP Rocky, Nicki Minaj, Dave and J. Cole also headline this year's expanded Wireless Festival
Tyler, The Creator, Cardi B, A$AP Rocky, Dave, SZA, Nicki Minaj and J. Cole have been announced as headliners of Wireless Festival’s expanded edition this summer.
The festival’s biggest outing to date sees it incorporate three sites, London’s Crystal Palace Park, Finsbury Park and Birmingham’s NEC, over two consecutive weekends running from July 1-3 and July 8-10, 2022. The Crystal Palace leg is only for the first weekend.
A$AP Rocky will headline Crystal Palace (UK exclusive) on Friday, July 1, while J. Cole (UK exclusive) will headline the Saturday (July 2) and Tyler, The Creator (London festival exclusive) will bow out on the Sunday (July 3).
Cardi B (UK exclusive) will headline Finsbury Park on Friday, July 8, with SZA (European exclusive) playing her debut UK festival headline set the following night (July 9). Nicki Minaj (European exclusive) will top the bill on the Sunday (July 10).
Dave is set to headline Birmingham the following weekend on Friday, July 1, while Cardi B will perform the next night (July 2). J. Cole will round out the show on Sunday (July 3) at the NEC’s new purpose-built outdoor site.
Wireless Festival organisers wrote on Twitter today (February 25) that a second wave of acts will be announced at 12pm GMT. Tickets go on general sale here this Monday (February 28) at 12pm GMT.
Last year, Future, Skepta and Migos headlined the rap music festival. Drake also made a surprise appearance to promote his latest album ‘Certified Lover Boy’.
In other rap and music festival news, Tyler, the Creator, Megan Thee Stallion and 50 Cent have been confirmed to headline Parklife 2022. The festival returns to Heaton Park from June 11-12, and also features Lewis Capaldi, Bicep, Jamie xx, Four Tet, and PinkPantheress.
Others set to play the festival include Loyle Carner, Arlo Parks, Headie One, Central Cee, Fred Again.., Caroline Polachek, Eric Prydz, Peggy Gou and Annie Mac.
