Tyler, the Creator has shared a new track, ‘Come On, Let’s Go’, which will feature on a new compilation out tomorrow (March 25).
The track was produced by Pharrell Williams, as part of the ‘I Know Nigo’ compilation put together by DJ and founder of A Bathing Ape, Nigo. The quick-fire track, which runs at just 105 seconds, comes with an accompanying video directed by Tyler himself. In it, he draws up at a country mansion in a yellow Lamborghini and proceeds to reel off the song’s verses in impassioned fashion as he traverses the grounds of the house. You can see the video below.
Japanese designer Nigo, already an iconic figure within the fashion world, has put together an A-list cast for ‘I Know Nigo’, with such giants of the hip hop world as Pusha T, Lil Uzi Vert, Kid Cudi and A$AP Rocky all in line for appearances on the compilation.
He first announced the project last December, when he revealed in a post on his Instagram account that he had signed to Victor Victor Worldwide, the personal Universal imprint of music impresario Steven Victor, who made his name as Head of A&R at Def Jam and, later, as Chief Operating Officer of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label.
Earlier this year, Nigo made his Paris debut with his first fashion show in the city, in front of a star-studded audience that included Tyler, West, Williams, Pusha, and Julia Fox. The compilation was exclusively previewed there, and crowd-filmed snippets of new music swiftly went viral. For Tyler, ‘Come On, Let’s Go’ represents his first original work since last year’s critically-lauded ‘CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST’, which won him some of the most glowing reviews of his career.
Later this year, Tyler returns to the UK for the first time since 2019; he was infamously barred from entering the country in 2015, but made up for lost time with a three-night stand at Brixton Academy in support of ‘Igor’ four years later. See both of his festival dates below.
