Here’s the nominees for the Song of the Year Award at the Rolling Stone UK Awards 2024

These are the tunes that defined our year

By Nick Reilly

We’re delighted to unveil the nominations for one of the biggest awards at this year’s Rolling Stone UK Awards: Song of the Year.

This is the category that recognises the songs that have kept us going throughout 2024 and we’ve got a brilliant bunch to certainly reflect that. Rap icons teaming up with DnB royalty? Check. A Little Mix star delivering an all-timer of a debut single? Of course that’s in there as well.

You can check out the nominations in full below.

Cassö, D Block Europe and RAYE – ‘Prada’

Charli XCX and Billie Eilish – ‘Guess’

Chase & Status and Stormzy – ‘Backbone’

Dua Lipa – ‘Training Season’

Fontaines D.C. – ‘Starburster’

Hozier – ‘Too Sweet’

Jade – ‘Angel of My Dreams’

The latest nomination announcement comes after we previously confirmed the artists shortlisted for The Album Award, The Group Award, the Live Act Award and the Festival Award. Check back at Rolling Stone UK for more nominees to be revealed in the coming days.

The Rolling Stone UK Awards 2024 take place at the Roundhouse, London on November 28. Winners, presenters and VIP guests will also be whisked to and from the historic North London venue in style in luxury Volvo cars, while a multi-platform editorial campaign will be utilising Rolling Stone UK ’s presence in print and digital forms, online and across social platforms to create a moment of a scale rarely seen in UK music media.
