Soccer Mommy announces new album ‘Sometimes, Forever’
The US singer-songwriter has also released new track 'Shotgun'
Soccer Mommy has announced her new album ‘Sometimes, Forever’, and released new song ‘Shotgun – listen below.
The Nashville singer-songwriter’s third studio LP is due to be released on June 24.
“‘Shotgun’ is all about the joys of losing yourself in love. I wanted it to capture the little moments in a relationship that stick with you,” Sophie Allison said in a statement.
“I wanted it to capture the little moments in a relationship that stick with you.”
The album is produced by Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never), and will serve as the follow-up to her 2020 album ‘Color Theory’.
Last year she also released standalone tracks ‘Kissing in the Rain’ and ‘Rom Com 2004’. Her debut album, ‘Clean’, came out in 2018.
New single ‘Shotgun’ is an affectionate and wistful reflection on the haze of infatuation. “So whenever you want me I’ll be around / I’m a bullet in a shotgun waiting to sound / whenever you want me I’ll be around / I’m a bullet in a shotgun waiting to sound,” she sings.
