Pete Davidson “stopped stand-up comedians” from making Kanye West jokes
The comedian responded to West according to a series of now-deleted text screenshots
Pete Davidson has finally responded to Kanye West after weeks of an ongoing feud, revealing that he asked comedians from ‘Saturday Night Live’ to avoid making jokes about the rapper.
Davidson, who is dating Kim Kardashian and has been the subject of numerous public call-outs from West, has responded in a series of now-deleted screenshots that were reportedly shared to Instagram by ‘SNL’ guest writer Dave Sirus.
“Yo it’s Skete,” Davidson wrote, referring to the derogatory nickname West has been using for the comedian. “Can you please take a second and calm down. It’s 8am and it don’t gotta be like this.”
He continued: “Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so f*king lucky that she’s your kids mom,” he continued. “I’ve decided im not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the f**k up.”
West responded to ask where Davidson was, to which he replied “In bed with your wife”.
Davidson also suggested they meet in person to speak. “I’m in La for the day if you wanna stop being a little internet bitch boy and talk…You don’t scare me bro. You actions are so pussy and embarrassing. It’s so sad to watch you ruin your legacy on the daily.”
When the rapper suggested they meet at his Sunday Service, Davidson replied: “This isn’t public dude. I’m not here for pictures and press. Which is obviously all you care about. My offer still stands.”
During the text exchange, Davidson claimed he had “stopped ‘SNL'” from making jokes about West “for months”, and chose not to make digs at him during stand-up routines. “You have no idea how nice I’ve been to you despite your actions towards me,” he reportedly wrote. “I’ve stopped stand-up comedians from doing bits about you cause I don’t want the father of my girls’ kids to look bad out there.”
“I’ve had your back even though you treat me like sh*t because I want everything to be smooth.”
Last week, West attacked Davidson in a second ‘Eazy’ video, which saw the skinned monkey from the track’s artwork punching a figure whose face is blurred, but who wears a hoodie with the word “skete” written across it.
In the music video, West was seen burying a claymation head that resembled the ‘Saturday Night Live’ comedian,
‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn was among a number of stars to offer Davidson public backing.
