Parklife Festival announces last-minute ticket resale in anti-touting measure
Megan Thee Stallion, Tyler, the Creator, 50 Cent and more are heading to Manchester next month
Manchester’s Parklife Festival has announced a last-minute resale of reclaimed tickets for next month’s sold-out event.
Parklife will return to Heaton Park from June 11-12 this year, featuring a huge line-up headlined by Tyler, the Creator, Megan Thee Stallion and 50 Cent, with Lewis Capaldi, Bicep, Jamie xx, Four Tet, PinkPantheress and many more also set to perform.
After tickets sold out for the event, Parklife have revealed that they have managed, in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, to reclaim a number of day and weekend tickets for the event.
The new batch of tickets will go on sale from 10am BST this Thursday (May 12) here.
Discussing plans to avoid being scammed by ticket touts, Greater Manchester Police’s Chief Superintendent Graeme Openshaw said in a statement: “We recognise that for an event such as Parklife that there are many people who will be unable to get tickets. Unfortunately every year we deal with unsuspecting victims who buy tickets from touts and get ripped off because the ticket turns out to be a fake or stolen.
“Our advice would always be that if you don’t know where the ticket has come from and don’t know the person who is selling it to you don’t be tempted to buy it.”
Others set to play Parklife 2022 include Loyle Carner, Arlo Parks, Headie One, Central Cee, Fred Again.. Caroline Polachek, Eric Prydz, Peggy Gou and Annie Mac.
