Earlier this year, festival organisers were forced to postpone for a second year due to continued uncertainty surrounding the pandemic.
In May, a festival statement said: “It has been a very painful decision to come to, as our desire (and probably yours) was to find ourselves all together again at Mad Cool in 2021.”
“However, we would like to let you know we think this is the appropriate, sensible and right decision to make. Health is more important than anything.”
Organisers added that they were ““working to be able to come back with an even better and more exciting festival at Mad Cool 2022”, adding it will be a “memorable event”.
A follow up tweet read: “We can promise that the next time we get together it will be unforgettable. We will enjoy music and life as it should be. We will shine again.”
