Little Simz reworks TikTok hit track ‘Venom’ for ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ soundtrack
'Venom' star Tom Hardy reached out to Little Simz to rework the song for the sequel
Little Simz has shared a reworked version of ‘Venom’, after being personally contacted by Tom Hardy.
The reworked version of the hit TikTok track now features on the ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ soundtrack, ahead of the Marvel sequel hitting cinemas later this month.
Originally released in 2019, Simz’ ‘Venom’ has become hugely popular on the video-sharing app again lately with nearly 700k videos made using a clip from the song.
One fan even got a tattoo inspired by the track, prompting Simz to share a video of it that has since secured nearly 6 million likes and more than 21 million views.
‘Venom’ was originally released as part of Drake’s soundtrack for ‘Top Boy’ on Netflix but has now been reworked for the Marvel movie.
Director Andy Serkis previously explained that lead actor Hardy wanted to get Little Simz involved and made contact with her after being impressed by her music.

Serkis told Uproxx: “She actually had made a song, unbeknownst to her, called ‘Venom’ that connected very much with the first movie. And so Tom got in touch with her and that song became sort of the focus [of the scene].”
Little Simz also makes a cameo appearance in the film during a rave scene.
Elsewhere on the Venom: Let There Be Carnage soundtrack, Eminem has joined forces with Skylar Grey, Polo G and Mozzy for new track ‘Last One Standing’.
Ahead of the film’s arrival, the Tom Hardy-fronted sequel has received a string of mixed reviews.
In this sequel to 2018’s Venom, Tom Hardy’s character faces up to Woody Harrelson’s villainous Cletus Kasady.
‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ is out October 15.
