Justice have shared a fresh snippet of new music coming in 2024, after it was seemingly confirmed that a new album will arrive this year.
The French electro duo shared the clip on their social media accounts yesterday (January 1) in a message to wish their fans a Happy New Year. While offering little context, the clip showed off an industrial-edged sound for the duo, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay.
Commenting on the clip, the pair’s record label Ed Banger wrote: “2024 starts now!”
It’s believed that a new album from the pair will arrive this year, after Ed Banger founder Pedro Winter previously confirmed the record and said a tour will follow.
“I can tell you right now, they will have a new album and a new tour in 2024,” he told France Inter last summer.
In a subsequent chat with NME, he revealed that the record gave him the same “goosebumps” he experienced when listening to the group’s 2007 album Cross.
“Listening to ‘Cross,’ I had goosebumps – I loved each and every note of this record, and I have goosebumps when I’m listening to the forthcoming [2024] Justice album, too,” he said.
“I can only be proud as a manager to work with a band that is pushing the boundaries and innovating like them. We are celebrating the 20 years of Ed Banger, but we are also celebrating 20 years of Justice.”
The duo’s last album came in 2016’s Woman, their third record which spawned the singles ‘Pleasure’, ‘Love S.O.S’, ‘Fire’ and ‘Chorus’.
