Headie One has dropped his latest single ‘Socials’, while also teasing further releases throughout the year.

The drill pioneer dropped his latest track on Friday (March 1), which is produced by the likes of Ambezza, Julia Lewis and Scotty White – and sees him reflect on his rise to fame.

A cameo-packed music video, meanwhile, was shot in various locations across London and takes in appearances from the likes of Big Zuu, Tiffany Calver, DJ Semtex, Clavish and Love Island stars Samira Mighty and Chloe Burrows.

The latest solo release comes after Headie and fellow rapper K-Trap were nominated for Best Group at the BRIT Awards 2024 this weekend with K-Trap, after releasing their acclaimed joint mixtape ‘Strength to Strength’. The duo ultimately lost out to Jungle, but Headie still teased big things when talking to Rolling Stone UK beforehand.

“There’s more work, more new music and good vibes on the way,” he said. “All that good stuff.”

While remaining cryptic, it could well be the follow-up to his acclaimed debut album Edna, which arrived in 2020 to critical acclaim and saw the rapper opening up on the barriers he has previously faced after the Metropolitan Police shut down a number of his concerts.
