Harry Styles is set to return with a new single called ‘As It Was’ on Friday (April 1).

The track will be the first preview of new album ‘Harry’s House’, which is set to land on May 20 and will be Styles‘ third solo album.

Confirming the track’s release, Styles tweeted a series of pictures of himself with his hands above his head, wearing a sparkly red dress and facing away from the camera.

The caption of the tweet simply stated the track’s title and release date.

Fans also believe that they know a number of the lyrics to ‘As It Was’, which appear to have been tweeted out by the You Are Home Twitter account, a verified account that began teasing Styles’ new era ahead of the full announcement of ‘Harry’s House’.

One lyric, which includes the new track’s title, reads: “in this world, it’s just us, you know it’s not the same as it was.”

Styles appeared to begin teasing the new album online earlier this month. The campaign began with a strange website, YouAreHome.co, that featured just the image of a door that would open to a different image if you rolled your mouse over it. “You Are Home” accounts were also launched on Twitter and Instagram.

The LP will mark Styles’ third solo album, following his 2019 offering Fine Line. The album helped Styles take home his first Grammy last year, winning Best Pop Solo Performance for the hit single, “Watermelon Sugar.” Fine Line was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album.

This summer, the former One Direction singer will head out on a stadium tour, and recently announced details of three new UK stadium shows for this summer, as he extends his ‘Love on Tour’ run to Europe and South America.

The ‘Watermelon Sugar’ star will play Glasgow, Manchester and London in June, with support on the dates from art-pop innovator Mitski. He’s also confirmed a lengthy run of dates in Europe for June and July that kicks off on Sunday, June 26 – leaving room for a potential appearance at Glastonbury on either the Friday or Saturday of the festival.

He’ll go onto take the tour to South America in November and December, visiting Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Last week, he was confirmed to headline this year’s edition of Coachella Festival in California alongside Billie Eilish and Kanye West, topping the main stage lineup on the Friday night on both weekends of the April event.
