The line-up for this year’s BBC Radio 6 Music Festival 2025 has been revealed, ahead of the event’s return to Manchester.

The annual event returns to Greater Manchester between March 26-29 and headline sets will come courtesy of Ezra Collective, Mogwai and Kae Tempest at the O2 Victoria Warehouse. They’ll be joined on the bill by English Teacher, Perfume Genius and Fat Dog.

Ezra Collective’s set will celebrate the importance of youth clubs across the UK after rising through the ranks themselves, while Mogwai will team with KNDS Fairey Acid Brass, a local contesting brass band from Stockport. In addition, fans of Kae Tempest will get the chance to see the multi-hyphenate artist show off new material.

Fans can also look forward to a BBC Introducing night featuring the likes of jasmine.4.t and Adult DVD, while the Indie Forever night will take in sets from Viagra Boys and 6Music’s Steve Lamacq.

Ezra Collective said: “2016 was the first time we ever got played on the station. Gilles Peterson gave us that precious moment. Since then it’s been a deep love for 6 Music, so to be in Manchester headlining their festival is a deep honour. See you on the dance floor.”

Mogwai added: “We are immensely excited to return to the 6 Music Festival and Manchester this year. 6 Music have always been champions of independent music and ourselves and it’s an honour to be part of this year’s celebration.”

Tempest added of their set: “I’ve got a new album and I can’t wait for people to hear it. BBC Radio 6 Music have been such a crucial supporter of my music, I can’t wait for listeners to hear this new direction and for me to be able to say thank you to them for giving me so much over the years.”

Tickets for each 6 Music Festival 2025 event will be available from 10am GMT this Thursday (February 6) and you’ll be able to buy yours here.
