Enter Shikari announce massive UK tour for February 2024
The shows will benefit the Music Venue Trust
By Joe Goggins
Enter Shikari have announced details of a huge UK tour for 2024, which will benefit the Music Venue Trust (MVT).
The St. Albans noiseniks celebrated their first-ever UK number one album last week, with seventh LP A Kiss for the Whole World, and have now announced that they’ll be taking the record to arenas next February, having just finished up a series of residencies at intimate venues around Britain in February and March.
They’ll kick off next year’s huge run in Leeds, before heading to Nottingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Cardiff and London. You can see full details of the dates below. Support will come from Fever 333 and Noahfinnce at all shows.
In announcing the gigs, Enter Shikari have also revealed that they will donated £1 from every ticket sold to the MVT. “Grassroots music venues in the UK are under existential threat,” said frontman Rou Reynolds. “Every time we lose another one we lose a vital part of our culture. Bigger venues that benefit from the productive pipeline that grassroots venues provide need to support these smaller venues, as do the artists that have come up through them. Enter Shikari stands with Music Venue Trust in their efforts to bring more solidity and community to our brilliant UK live music scene.”
Tickets go on sale on Friday (May 5) here. A Kiss for the Whole World met with positive reviews on release last month. Nick Reilly suggested it heralded the start of a new chapter for the band in a four-star review for Rolling Stone UK, saying: “If this is the start of a new era of Shikari, then the incoming 2.0 looks very bright indeed. They remain the perennial rock underdogs and champions for the underground, but on the basis of this album at least you wouldn’t count against them lasting another 20 years.”
