Empire State Bastard have announced details of their debut album, the upcoming Rivers Of Heresy.
The new project is the brainchild of Biffy Clyro frontman Simon Neil and Oceansize’s Mike Vennart, who arrived as a duo with their debut single ‘Harvest’ in March.
Now, the duo are gearing up to share their debut album Rivers Of Heresy on September 1, with big things promised.
“I set about making the most fucking poisonous vile music I possibly could, just unabridged hatred in musical form,” said Mike Vennart in a press release.
Neil added: “Lyrically, it’s as misanthropic and nihilistic as I’ve ever written.”
The new record also features drumming by Slayer’s Dave Lombardo and will be released digitally, on CD (with an exclusive 24-page fanzine), cassette, and two coloured vinyls.
