Our photos show Papa V Perpetua – the latest alias of Tobias Forge – in full flight with his legion of incognito backing musicians known as the Nameless Ghouls.
It was a phone-free affair, which only adds to the band’s mysterious image, but last night’s setlist reliably tells us what fans heading to the other dates can expect. It was straight into the new era for an opening one-two punch of ‘Peacefields’ and ‘Lachryma’ from their latest album, before ‘Spirit’ took it straight back to 2018.
We’re loath to say much more and we’ll let our pictures do the talking for now, but it goes without saying that Tobias Forge and co have one hell of a show up their hands.
