As the weekend nears, we’re giving Lana Del Rey fans the chance to look back at the singer’s stunning headline set at Reading Festival last weekend.
The singer’s bill-topping performance marked one of the weekend’s true high points, with a set that flitted between Old Hollywood glamour (as seen in the ivy-covered paradise she arrived to on stage) and, well, the singer’s timeless vocal power.
We had an all-time rendition of ‘Summertime Sadness’ – which saw Lana flanked by backing dancers – and a rendition of ‘Video Games’ that united the whole festival.
And while technical issues meant that any further songs had to be put on ice, there was unexpected beauty in the moment when Lana returned to the stage – welcomed by her fans – to watch the fireworks that were meant to accompany the closer.
