Charli XCX has confirmed she is set to tie the knot with The 1975’s George Daniel.
The pair have been dating for the last couple of years and reportedly went public with their relationship shortly before Charli headed out on the European leg of her Crash tour in 2022.
Now, Charli has confirmed the nuptials in a new post shared to social media – hours after posting a photo on her private Instagram that displayed a diamond band on her finger.
“Charli XCX and George Daniel,” came the typically unsubtle caption of the post – which offered three different photos of the couple kissing.
Sharing his excitement at the news, Daniel’s bandmate Matty Healy wrote: “I cry”.
Other messages of excitement came from Paris Hilton, who shared two love heart eye emojis.
Elsewhere, fans dubbed the forthcoming nuptials their “own Royal Wedding”.
Last month saw Charli team up with Sam Smith for ‘In The City’, the first collab between the two.
“The song is about finding the people you truly love and connect with through wild nights out and partying in magical places,” Charli XCX said of the one-off single in a statement. “It’s about feeling accepted, the magnificence of being welcomed into queer spaces and those once in a lifetime people you get to meet when you’re there”.
