Cassia return with sun-soaked new single ‘Heat’
But behind the sun there's quite the message...

Cassia have made their return with new single ‘Heat’, which sees the Macclesfield trio provide a slice of sun-soaked indie pop right at the very end of the summer.
Though an upbeat track in nature, the group say that their first offering since the Home Soon EP is deceptively deep and sees tackling the dark side of social media in our daily lives.
Lead vocalist Rob Ellis said: “The moment that you realise that the modern age has crept up on you too quickly is a scary thing. At the time of writing ‘Heat’, I felt I was constantly having to adjust my mindset to adapt to a modern way of living, with a constant stream of information that is perfectly tailored to each of our tastes via social media. I found it hard to find moments of real genuine discovery, it felt like I’d done it and seen it all before. I think now that I’ve written it down on paper I’m back to being more in the moment.”
The group’s latest comes after their debut album ‘Replica’ saw them gain fans with tracks such as ‘Right There’, ‘Drifting’ and play headline shows at Manchester’s O2 Ritz, as well as sold out dates at London’s KOKO & The Garage.
Later this year, the band will support Crystal Fighters in November for 3 UK shows at Manchester’s New Century Hall, and 2 dates at Outernet London on . Expect to hear more from Cassia in 2025.
