BTS announce first book ‘Beyond the Story: 10-year Record of BTS’ and share trailer
The book unwraps around new interviews with the K-pop stars
BTS have released a trailer in promotion of their first book upcoming book, Beyond the Story: 10-year Record of BTS.
The book, which BTS co-wrote with journalist Myeongseok Kang, arrives on 9 July in celebration of their 10th anniversary. The July date also marks the day (aka ARMY day) that the fandom name ARMY was confirmed.
In the trailer it appears that the book will be split into seven chapters to document the K-pop juggernauts’ story so far.
Chapter one and two are called ‘Seoul’ and ‘Why We Exist’, and in the trailer these sections are illustrated with archival footage from BTS’ early days.
Chapter three, four and five are called ‘Love, Hate, ARMY’, ‘Inside Out’ and ‘A Flight That Never Lands’, featuring clips from their 2015 breakout 2015 hit ‘I Need U’ and more.
‘The World of BTS’ and ‘We Are’, which are chapter six and seven respectively, show BTS in their superstar era with snippets of video from hits including ‘Boy With Luv’ and ‘Dynamite’.
The book, which unwraps around interviews with the stars, is published in 23 different languages including Korean, English and Japanese.

‘Beyond the Story: 10-year Record of BTS’ has been the subject of fevered speculation by Taylor Swift fans, who believed prior to the book’s announcement that the release might be a memoir by the pop star. The intensity of the rumour mill even turned the non-existent Swift book into a bestseller.
Tomorrow (17 June) BTS will commemorate their 10th anniversary with a concert in Seoul.
