So that’s it. After a year of Harry Styles sweeping the board, epic performances from the likes of Lizzo & Wet Leg and *that* moment of confusion from host Mo Gilligan, the BRITS is over.

Returning to The O2 but taking place on a Saturday for the first time ever, this was a show where Sam Smith and Kim Petras delivered a typically otherworldly performance of ‘Unholy’ and poor old Carlos O’Connell was forced to accept Fontaines D.C.’s Brit Award on his own, as he awaits the birth of his first child while the rest of the band tours Australia.

But, as ever, it’s the red carpet looks that linger longest in the memory. From Sam Smith’s bold and much-memed latex outfit to Nova Twins’ home-made punk style, it was a vintage night for distinctive and, in Sam’s case, unforgettable outfits.
