BLACKPINK will make their return in 2025 for a world tour, the agency YG Entertainment has revealed.
In a new video, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk also revealed that a slew of other acts represented by the agency will also hit the road in 2025.
“I can’t say we have specific plans yet, but I think a lot of artists will be active simultaneously,” said Yang, who then teased a tour for BLACKPINK.
Speaking specifically about the group, the YG Entertainment boss revealed that “there will be a highly anticipated comeback from BLACKPINK” next year, before adding it will “also be the year [that the group] start their world tour”.
As for the other groups, the founder revealed that K-Pop groups BABYMONSTER and TREASURE will hit the road, though specific dates are yet to be revealed.
Rather excitingly, Yang also revealed that later this year will see the return of K-Pop girl group 2NE1, close to a decade since the group split and left YG Entertainment. They will kick off a world tour in Seoul in October.
Last month also saw BLACKPINK’s Lisa unveil her highly-anticipated single ‘Rockstar’.
‘Rockstar’ marks the first solo release from Lisa since joining DJ Snake, Ozuna, and Megan Thee Stallion on ‘SG’ back in 2021. She also dropped a pair of singles, ‘Lalisa’ and ‘Money,’ that year. (She performed her solo tracks while Blackpink headlined Coachella last year.)
Earlier this year, Blackpink decided not to re-sign individually with YG, giving them more control over the directions of their solo careers, including Lisa’s upcoming role in Season Three of The White Lotus.
