AURORA has released a new song called ‘Heathens’ today (December 3) – you can check it out below.
The Norwegian musician has been teasing new music in the last few months, with her previous single ‘Giving in to the Love’ being released in October.
Of ‘Heathens’, AURORA wrote in a statement: “A long, long time ago, Eve took a bite of a forbidden apple hanging from the tree of evil and good. In her act of doing so, she granted humans free will; I just think that is very beautiful, and I wanted to honour her and women like her, who little by little granted us freedom in this world.
“A freedom to live as we please, to explore and taste. I think life should be lived in all of its colours, and that is why we live like heathens.”

AURORA also announced her plans for a virtual concert experience called ‘A Touch of Divine’ as part of today’s release.
She explained that the performances would include music from her forthcoming third album ‘The Gods We Can Touch’, which is set to be released via Decca on January 21, 2022.
“It’s rare for me to present the soul of my music like it will be presented on this Moment,” she said of the one-off event that’s due to be broadcast worldwide on January 25, 2022.
“It’s going to be so pure. And so wonderful. I’m excited to show my warriors the universe this album is bringing to us. A small touch of the divine.”
Back in October AURORA released another song called ‘Giving in to the Love’, which she teased on Instagram as being about the garden of Eden, “giving into its beauty, and giving into its love”.
The artist is also set to head out on tour across the UK and Europe next year, running from February to April 2022. You can find tickets for her string of shows here.
