Adele has reflected on the past year in a new social media post to mark her 34th birthday.
It comes after a whirlwind 2021 which saw the singer release her fourth album ’30’, which became the year’s best selling global album. She followed that success earlier this year by winning three BRIT Awards, including album of the year.
Marking her 34th birthday yesterday (May 5), the singer shared a social media post in which she reflected on how she’s “never been happier” and addedd: “What a difference a year makes!”
“If time keeps healing and smoothing out all the creases in my life like it does as the years fly by, then I can’t wait to be 60!” she wrote. “I’ve never been happier!”
“So many lessons, so many blessings to be grateful for. This is 34, and I love it here! Thank you for the birthday love as always.”
The singer will make her full UK live return this summer with two live shows at London’s Hyde Park.
Adele was also forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency in January due to “delivery delays” and COVID-related snags. She has since said the shows will “absolutely 100 percent” happen, amid talk that it could change venue.
