Mark Ronson and Audemars Piguet to hold the closing night concert of Montreux Jazz Festival
Montreux Jazz festival has a stellar line up of musical stars this year, with everyone from Christine & the Queens to Lil Nas X. It’s no surprise then, that Swiss Haute Horlogerie Manufacturers, Audemars Piguet have something incredible special lined up for the closing night of the festival.
British-American DJ, songwriter Mark Ronson, an Audemars Piguet ambassador since 2022, will be putting on a show alongside some of his proteges, such as Lucky Daye and Yebba, through the lens of creative director Daphnée Lanternier.
The intimate concert has been aptly named Mark Ronson and his Favourite Band Ever, and pays tribute to the award-winning musician’s extended music family. Since joining brand last year, Audemars Piguet set Ronson a challenge- to create a collaborative track with an artist of his choice. Picking Lucky Daye, the two artists process was documented on a series of immersive videos entitled Syncing Sounds.
On the closing night of the music festival in Switzerland, Ronson has invited several artists who have been a part of his illustrious music journey. Several musicians will join him, who have worked with him on iconic titles for artists such as Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. The trumpet player Dave Guy, who played on Ronson and Winehouse’s ‘Valerie and drummer, composer and producer Homer Steinweiss who contributed to Amy’s Back to Black album are among the artists who will share the stage with Mark for the concert.
The Montreux Jazz festival has launched the careers of many artists, as well as welcoming some of the all-time greats, so Audemars Piguet’s concert with Ronson is the perfect way to close out the event, fusing all of Ronson’s favourite people from his past and present. The concert’s concept is connected to Audemar’s APxMUSIC, that was started in 2019. The music programme supports rising music talents through collaborations directly fostering the artist’s practice and development. This years concert is another step in Ronson and Audemars Piguetrs’ long-term partnership for the Montreux Jazz festival and the mission to push human talent further to creat the extra-ordinary.

They’ve created a backstage experience documenting the months of collaboration that lead to the concert, revealed in their new Syncing Sounds-Live video. The mixed-format film, captured by Lauren Luxenberg follows Mark and the creative and production process to create the best show possible of the Montreux stage. Audemars really let you get your tennis nerd on, with everything from text messages and voice notes showing every little nuance that leads up to the show on the 15th July.
