Mad Cool Festival began as a vision to create an immersive and unforgettable experience for music lovers. Over the years, it has evolved into one of the largest and most prestigious music festivals in Europe, attracting top-tier artists and a diverse international audience.
According to Mad Cool’s director Javi Arnáiz, its aim is “to create a space where people from all walks of life can come together to share in the transformative power of music.”

This year’s festival promises an eclectic mix of genres and a lineup that caters to every music lover’s taste. Some of the must-see acts include Bar Italia, Jet Vesper, Picture Parlour, Joel Culpepper, Dead Posey, Kneecap, Julia Sabate, and Genesis Owusu.
Meanwhile, heavy hitters including Dua Lipa, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Pearl Jam, Maneskin and The Killers are just a handful of some the mind-blowing acts that will be lighting up the Madrid skies this summer.
Madrid: The perfect festival backdrop
The city of Madrid plays a crucial role in the Mad Cool experience. “Madrid, as the festival location, offers a vibrant and culturally rich backdrop that adds an extra dimension to the event. The city’s unique energy, world-class vibe, and warm hospitality create the perfect setting for an unforgettable festival experience. Madrid is always one of our headliners at the festival,” says Arnáiz.
“As organisers, witnessing the festival come to life and seeing people immerse themselves in the music and atmosphere is truly gratifying. It’s a culmination of months of hard work and dedication, and to see it all come together and bring joy to so many people is incredibly rewarding. Standing back and experiencing the festival firsthand allows us to appreciate the magic of live music and the power it has to unite and uplift.”
