London duo The Itch have emerged with a huge debut single – listen to ‘Ursula’ below.

The pair – Georgia Hardy and Simon Tyrie – have been making their name on the live circuit, and their debut studio offering is a seven-minute trip of moody synth-pop and chaotic noise.

The track is an ode to the author Ursula K. Le Guin and tackles themes of utopia that form her legendary 1974 novel The Dispossessed, updating them for the current day.

Watch the video for the new track below.

The band will play their debut headline show at The Social in London next week (April 10), going on to perform at a number of summer festivals including London’s Wide Awake, Deer Shed, End of the Road and Latitude.
