Little Simz announces new album ‘Lotus’ with Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly collaboration

‘Flood’ is the first preview of the rapper's new album, out in May

Little Simz has announced details of a new album – Lotus will come out later this year, and is being previewed by its first single.

The new album, out on May 9, is being previewed by the track ‘Flood’, a collaboration with Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly.

The month after the new album’s release, Simz will curate the 30th edition of London’s Meltdown Festival.

The festival will return to London’s Southbank Centre from June 12-22, with first names announced in the spring.

Simz said: I’m super excited to be the 2025 Meltdown Festival curator! My team and I are preparing eleven days of art, music, workshops and more. So many incredible artists have curated this festival so it’s a true honour to be a part of it. Thank you to the Southbank Centre for having me. Meltdown 2025 the Simz way is going to be epic. I’ll see you there.”

She follows in the footsteps of Chaka Khan in 2024 and a 2023 programme curated by Christine & the Queens.
