Liam Gallagher praises ‘absolutely incredible’ Bring Me The Horizon cover of Oasis’ ‘Wonderwall’
“I’m off out on my skateboard fuck y’all”
Liam Gallagher has hailed Bring Me The Horizon’s new cover of Oasis’ ‘Wonderwall’ as “absolutely incredible”.
Yesterday (January 29), the metal band shared a cover of the iconic ’90s hit as part of a new two-track release from the band for Spotify Singles.
Responding to a post from an Oasis fan account on X about the track, Gallagher said: “I fucking LOVE it”.
After another Oasis fan said that Liam would be “so pissed off over this,” he disagreed and wrote: “I’m not it’s absolutely incredible made my day I’m of out on my skateboard fuck y’all.”
100 per cent of label Sony’s profits from the ‘Wonderwall’ cover will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust charity. This week, the charity announced its annual gig series at the Royal Albert Hall in London, with The Who and Sex Pistols on the line-up.
Oasis will play their first gigs together in 16 years at UK venues including London’s Wembley Stadium and Manchester’s Heaton Park this summer.
Alongside the UK and Ireland dates, Oasis have announced details of Australian dates, North American shows which sold out immediately, and gigs in South America and Asia.
