LCD Soundsystem tease announcement with enigmatic London projections

LCD Soundsystem appear to be teasing a London-related announcement.
Per NME, the logo of DFA Records, the label founded and run by LCD mastermind James Murphy, has appeared at prominent locations across the UK capital, along with the message “you are here”.
That would appear to be a nod to the electronic outfit’s 2002 breakthrough single, ‘Losing My Edge’, on which Murphy satirically skewers indie rock posers, reeling off a list of momentous moments in music history and repeatedly claiming “I was there”.
Photos shared by NME show the projections as having appeared at numerous locations in Shoreditch, as well as on the side of Tate Modern’s ten-storey tower. Speculation is rife that the band might announce a multi-date residency in London, along the lines of the four-show runs they’ve set for Philadelphia’s Franklin Music Hall later this month and Boston’s Roadrunner in early April.
Alternatively, the use of the DFA logo might mean that the label are planning a London equivalent to the 20-year anniversary party that they’re throwing in New York on March 26. The all-nighter at Knockdown Center will feature a mix of DJ sets and live performances, including turns turns by Murphy and LCD keyboardist Nancy Whang, as well appearances by DFA staples Shit Robot and The Juan MacLean, amongst a slew of others.
LCD emerged from live hibernation late last year to play a 20-show residency at Brooklyn Steel, beginning on November 23rd. The hometown run was ultimately curtailed with three dates remaining, owing to the surge in COVID-19 case rates that the virus’ Omicron variant caused. The group returned to ‘Saturday Night Live’ for the first time since 2017 last Saturday (February 26), dusting off two of their oldest tracks for the occasion: ‘Thrills’ and ‘Yr City’s a Sucker’.
They also appeared as a group of Guardian Angels during the ‘Subway Churro’ sketch, alongside the evening’s host, John Mulaney. It marked the second time in three months that LCD have shown off their comedy chops; in December, they released ‘The LCD Soundsystem Holiday Special’, a blend of live performances and skits, with the latter starring the likes of Eric Wareheim and Macaulay Culkin as members of the group.
