Groove Armada have announced the special guests performing on their final full live UK tour next month, with Norman Jay MBE, Ewan McVicar and PBR Streetgang among acts scheduled to perform across the nine dates.

The electronic dance music duo, comprising Tom Findlay and Andy Cato, will celebrate 25 years of touring, marking the milestone with a final string of UK dates.

The tour will also see performances from Andy Baxter, Arielle Free, Ishmael Ensemble, Luke Una, Hot Blood and Warm DJ’s.

Scottish DJ McVicar will perform at the opening show in Glasgow, while Jay will close out the tour at London’s Brixton Academy.

Groove Armada are set to perform new music during the tour, recruiting “some of today’s leading underground artists to remix their most iconic tracks,” according to a press release.

The duo are also scheduled to perform at Latitude 2022, where Foals and Lewis Capaldi are among headliners, and Bluedot Festival alongside Björk and Metronomy.

Groove Armada originally planned to retire from performing following a farewell tour in 2010. “We’ve crossed and re-crossed the world with this band and crew,” the pair said in a statement at the time. “There’s no other team like it. With their help, GA live became the sound of legendary nights from Mount Fuji to Moscow.

“It’s not often in the spotlight maybe; but ask the people who have come and filled the tents and surrounded the stages for the last decade. A massive thanks to all of them, for staying with us on a journey from Richie Havens to Saint Saviour.”

In 2020, Groove Armada released ‘Edge of the Horizon’, their first new album in 10 years. Their 1997 classic ‘At the River’ also featured in the 2020 Netflix thriller ‘White Lines’.
