Glastonbury reveal 2025 Emerging Talent Competition finalists
Master Peace is among the eight artists hoping to win a development fund and a main stage slot at this year’s festival

Glastonbury Festival has announced the finalists of the 2025 edition of its Emerging Talent Competition.
The festival’s annual competition was won by Jamaican-Irish rapper and singer JayaHadADream last year, while other past contenders include Declan McKenna who won in 2015 and Rolling Stone UK Award winners English Teacher.
The winner of the prize will receive a £5,000 Talent Development prize from PRS Foundation, with two runners up receiving £2,500.
Among the nominees this year are Master Peace, Westside Cowboy and Sarah Meth. See the full list of eight nominees below.
Of this year’s prize, Emily Eavis said: “We know how hard it is for new acts to take their first steps towards a career in music – particularly with the challenges facing small venues in this country – so the Emerging Talent Competition is a hugely important part of Glastonbury’s annual calendar.”
The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo are headlining Glastonbury 2025. Young was announced in January after a prolonged debacle that initially saw him pull out of a headline slot, while it was confirmed late last year that Rod Stewart will take the legends slot.
The festival is set to take place from June 25-29 and other major slots include Other Stage headline appearances for Charli XCX, Loyle Carner and The Prodigy. There is also a return to Glastonbury for RAYE, playing just before Neil Young, alongside a solo debut for JADE and a set from Wolf Alice – suggesting that new music could be on the way.
