Glastonbury 2024 reveal Block9 line-up, with Genosys to return
The lauded NYC Downlow will also host its first ever day party on the Saturday of this year's festival.
Glastonbury Festival has announced the full 2024 line-up for Block9, with the Genosys stage returning after a five-year hiatus.
The late-night area in the festival’s South East Corner will return for 2024 with new stages and initiatives, as well as old favourites.
The lauded NYC Downlow club will host its first ever Downlow Day Party on the Saturday of the festival, hosted by François K, while Katharine Hamnett will join forces with Block9 for an initiative encouraging attendees to vote in the UK General Election, announced on Wednesday to take place the week after Glastonbury.
She said: “Our vote is our most powerful tool to get the world we want, and every vote is crucial. But democracy is under threat. Voter suppression is rife – even in the UK. Elections have been won by one vote: Thomas Jefferson in 1800 was elected president of the United States by one vote. Register to Vote NOW! Use it or lose it!”

This week, it was also revealed that the festival’s towering Arcadia spider will be replaced by a giant dragonfly for this year’s edition.
The Arcadia spider has become an iconic emblem of the festival since it was introduced in 2007, with the likes of Skepta, The Chemical Brothers and Calvin Harris all playing the stage – which is made from scrapyard metal.
While 2019 saw the spider being replaced by a giant crane dubbed “Pangea,” this year’s festival sees a “giant biomechanical” dragonfly take centre stage instead.
“Arcadia kicks off a whole new chapter at Glastonbury with their boldest installation yet,” the festival wrote on their website. “The Dragonfly, a giant biomechanical creature, will awaken at the heart of an evolved geometric space, exploring ideas around renewal, our relationship with technology and how we adapt to a changing climate.”
Glastonbury 2024 will see Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA headline the Pyramid Stage, with Shania Twain occupying the traditional Sunday afternoon Legends’ Slot. Others to take to the iconic main stage will be LCD Soundsystem, K-pop band SEVENTEEN, Burna Boy, PJ Harvey, Janelle Monáe, Olivia Dean and more.
