The tour dates will now take place in March 2022, and Phil Collins has ruled out any further Genesis shows

Genesis have announced details of their three rescheduled dates in London, after a positive Covid case forced them to postpone the shows.
The prog-rock pioneers will now play three dates at London’s O2 Arena on March 24, 25 and 26.
‘The Last Domino?’ tour was originally postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but Genesis were able to start their concert tour in September this year after restrictions in the UK were relaxed.
The shows are their first live concerts since 2007, and Phil Collins has ruled out any further shows after the tour is over. Collins told Mojo: This English and American tour, that will be enough for me.”
In a rare interview, Phil Collins told BBC Breakfast about his health issues, explaining his difficulties with playing drums: “I would love to but, you know, I mean I can barely hold a stick with this hand, so there are certain physical things that get in the way.” The musician suffered a spinal injury in 2007, damaging the vertebrae in his upper neck, and performs in a chair.
The tour sees Collins reunite with Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford, marking the band’s 40thanniversary, and Collins’ son, Nic, joins them onstage to play drums. The North American leg of the tour will begin in November this year, and will wrap up before Christmas.
Recently, former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett told BBC Radio on October9t hat he left the band because it was “too constraining”, adding that “it wasn’t musical differences at all”.
He said: “Politically, it was impossible to honour commitments to my record company making solo albums, and at the same time do that within a band that said to me, ‘Look, you can’t have a parallel solo career,’ and allowed Peter Gabriel to do that”.
In the interview, Hackett also said: “Once we left, it became a different story because any major band that starts to haemorrhage members to that degree realize that everyone has got to be able to let off steam separately, and I don’t think it kills the golden goose that is the band, it just expands on it.”
The band are yet to announce the rescheduled dates for their Glasgow show at the SSE Hydro Arena, or their shows in Belfast and Dublin, which were postponed back in August.
