Fontaines D.C. have announced an intimate album launch show in London this week – get all the details below.

The band will release new album ROMANCE on Friday (August 23), and play Camden’s Electric Ballroom the previous night.

It follows the announcement of the Dublin band’s biggest show to date at London’s Finsbury Park next summer. The one-off date will take place on July 5 next year, with support coming from Amyl & The Sniffers, Kneecap and a selection of other acts to be confirmed.

Tickets for the Electric Ballroom gig are on sale now here.

Last month also saw the group headline Glastonbury’s Park Stage, delivering a set that Rolling Stone UK described as “a tantalising teaser of a new era”.

Speaking to Rolling Stone UK about ROMANCE, frontman Grian Chatten said: “The infrastructure, visually and sonically, feels a bit more robust, but we’re always going to have a ramshackle element.

“Whether we’re playing big arenas or not, there’s always going to be a sense of anarchy in what we do and the way we perform. We’re still just walking on a tight rope.”
