Watch Egyptian Blue’s new video for ‘Salt’, starring Tim Key
The band will release debut album 'A Living Commodity' next week via Yala! Records.
Egyptian Blue have shared a new video for their single ‘Salt’, which features comedian and actor Tim Key – watch it first on Rolling Stone UK below.
The band are releasing debut album A Living Commodity next week (October 27) via Yala! Records.
Discussing the new video, they told RS UK: “We made this video in the weeks prior to the release of our single Salt, split between London and Brighton.
“It was a pleasure to work with someone like Tim Key for a music video, he played the role we were visualising perfectly.”
Of the video’s themes, the band added: “I remember us really wanting there to be a continuous pattern between our music videos which is why we used the same actor, Adrian Grant, in a sort of cameo role – he had also starred in our video for our track ‘Collateral’.
“The video follows the lyrics closely – stuck in the daily grind in a rut, like some kind of unwanted lethargic addiction. At the tipping edge of insanity entering a delusional world, one that you’re delusionally content with.”
