Here’s the early weather forecast for Glastonbury Festival 2023
As crowds prepare to head down to Worthy Farm, here's the lowdown on whether wellies will be needed
We’re just one week away from Glastonbury 2023, where the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Elton John are set to headline the festival, which takes places June 21-25.
The Worthy Farm bash will also feature performances from Lizzo, The War on Drugs, Lewis Capaldi, Lil Nas X, Lana Del Rey, Wizkid, Loyle Carner and many more.
This year’s Glasto weather is looking promising, with sun forecasted every day and temperature highs reaching 29 degrees, meaning it might just be a (mostly) dry one down on the farm.
Here’s how the weather is looking for Pilton, Somerset at the moment, according to BBC weather…
Wednesday 21, sunny intervals and a gentle breeze
Day one weather is currently promising a strong start as festival-goers pitch tents and wander the site, with highs of 22 degrees and clear skies forecasted from 3-9pm.
Thursday 22, more sunny intervals
Day two is looking set to get one degree hotter, with highs of 23 degrees, sunny intervals and a gentle breeze. Early morning from 7-10am will see the clearest skies for the early risers (and all nighters). Chances of rain still remains low.
Friday 23, sun still going strong
Temperatures will remain steady as we enter the weekend, with sunny intervals throughout the day. The mysterious Churnups, Wizkid, Royal Blood and Artic Monkeys are hopefully going to be dry sets. A low chance of rain, but some forecasts are also predicting light showers in the morning and afternoon.
Saturday 24, here comes the sun
Lewis Capaldi, Aitch, Lizzo, Lana Del Rey, Guns N’ Roses and many more are looking to enjoy a full day of totally blue skies, with highs of 26 at around 4pm and zero chance of rain.
Sunday 25, hot, hot, hot
Glastonbury’s closing day – which will host sets from Blondie, Queens Of The Stone Age, Lil Nas X, Elton John and more – is looking to be a scorcher. From 11am the temperature could climb from 24 degrees up to 27 until 4pm, while there’s also zero per cent chance of rain. But hot weather always bring the possibility of thunderstorms. Wellies might not make too many appearances this year, but don’t forget the SPF.
