Coldplay have announced a new single set to arrive next week, featuring Little Simz and Burna Boy.

‘We Pray’, released on August 23, will follow ‘feelslikeimfallinginlove’ as the second preview of the band’s 10th studio album, Moon Music, due out in October.

The new single was first previewed during Coldplay’s headline set at Glastonbury 2024, with Simz appearing on stage with them and Burna Boy beamed onto the Pyramid Stage screens.

Also featuring on the track will be Palestinian-Chilean R&B star Elyanna and Argentine artist TINI.

You can pre-save ‘We Pray’ here and listen to a preview below.

Moon Music arrives on October 4 and is also produced by Martin. But it may be Coldplay’s last, after singer Chris Martin previously said that the band would stop making music in 2025.

“Well I know I can tell you: our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that I think we will only tour,” Martin said during a 2021 interview with Jo Wiley. “Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalogue, as it were, finishes then.”

Moon Music will be pressed on a world-first 140g EcoRecord LP, made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. It is expected to see an 85 per cent reduction in carbon emissions compared to standard vinyl production.
