Clubber tries to gain entry to Warehouse Project with fake “lifetime access pass”
The "little scoundrel" behind the creative prank has since been rewarded by WHP co-creator Sacha Lord
An optimistic clubber tried to gain access to the Warehouse Project in Manchester this weekend with a fake “lifetime access pass”.
The pass was shown at the door before the Adam Beyer Presents Drumcode event at the venue on Saturday (October 16).
Warehouse Project co-founder Sacha Lord tweeted yesterday (October 17) about the “impressive effort”.
“A new one last night,” he wrote. “Someone tried to get in, by making themselves a “Lifetime Access Pass to WHP and Parklife.” Caused a bit of confusion, but impressive!”
The pass, which featured an issue date of “03/09/2017” and an expiry date of “00/00/0000”, belonged to an “Ellis Hall”.
Text on the pass also read: “This pass grants the holder lifetime access to WHP events & Parklife [Festival].”
A “staff notice” at the bottom said: “*Ensure name matches pass before granting entry.”
Lord has since rewarded the youngster’s ingenuity, tweeting: “Just as an update. I’ve been in contact with the little scoundrel @EllisH4LL and have given him Lifetime Access for effort.”
“Funny genius,” he added.
Hall himself has since tweeted “Mum I made it”, while also sharing links to articles about his creative stunt and boasting that he “broke the internet today”.
A recent Warehouse Project press release announced that the 2021 season marks the “long-awaited return to the dancefloor that everyone has been waiting for: a return to music, to dancing and to weekends.”
It added: “Defining moments and shared experiences with everyone under one roof again for a full-spectrum of music and cultural immersion.”
Worried About Henry and Disclosure are due to perform at the WHP this weekend, with Caribou, Jamie xx, and Bicep also scheduled to perform in the coming weeks.
