Charli XCX teases ‘Guess’ remix, and fans think it features Billie Eilish
Charli XCX has asked fans to guess who they believe is on the new version of the ‘Brat’ deluxe edition track.
Charli XCX has teased a new remix of her track ‘Guess’ with an unnamed artists, which fans believe could be Billie Eilish.
Yesterday (July 31), Charli announced the release of the remix, featuring artwork of the bottom half of herself and the mystery guest.
On the side of the artwork is a panel reading: “Charli XCX – ‘Guess’ featuring” and then blank spaces.
After the release of the artwork, fans online have compared the rings worn by Charli’s unknown collaborator to ones Billie has worn recently, as well as the baggy jeans in the artwork.
The track will become the second song off Brat to receive a remixed edition with a guest star. Shortly after the album’s release, Charli shared ‘The girl, so confusing version with lorde’ after fans had heavily speculated that the song was about the Kiwi pop star.
‘Guess’, produced by The Dare, appears on the deluxe version of the album, titled Brat and it’s the same but there’s three more songs so it’s not. It also features the tracks ‘Hello goodbye’, ‘Guess‘ and ‘Spring breakers’.
Last week, Brat was nominated for the 2024 Mercury Prize. Others on the shortlist include Rolling Stone UK’s 2024 Future of Music stars Barry Can’t Swim, English Teacher, Nia Archives and The Last Dinner Party.
