Calvin Harris unveils details of new album, ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol.2’
It's his first new album in five years
Calvin Harris has today (April 20) unveiled details of his new album, ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol.2’.
Harris‘ sixth studio album – and first in five years – will arrive this summer, although an exact release date has not yet been shared.
Writing on Twitter this afternoon, the DJ and producer shared an image of the album’s title on a billboard along with the caption, “Summer ’22”.
No further information about the album has been released yet.
His last album, ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1′ arrived in 2017 and featured songs including, ‘Slide’, ‘Heatstroke’, ‘Rollin’, ‘Faking It’ and ‘Feels’ – a collaboration with Katy Perry, Pharrell and Big Sean.
This summer, Harris is set to perform at a number of shows and festivals including one at Glasgow’s Hampden Park in July.
He’s also set to appear at the first Creamfields South event alongside David Guetta, Fatboy Slim, Deadmau5, CamelPhat, Becky Hill, Amelie Lens, Carl Cox, Jamie Jones and Charlotte De Witte.
The spin-off festival, which takes place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex between June 2 and June 4, 2022, is in addition to the longstanding Cheshire festival over the August holiday weekend.
Harris will also appear at Sxiget, EXIT Festival and Belsonic, and will also take up a residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza from June to September.
Earlier this year Harris shared a new track, ‘Lonely’, under his Love Regenerator alias. On that, he collaborated with Riva Starr and Sandara Maitreya.
