Blur’s Damon Albarn rumoured to join Bombay Bicycle Club on stage at Glastonbury 2024
Albarn collaborated with the band – who play the Other Stage this afternoon – on their recent song ‘Heaven’.
Bombay Bicycle Club will be joined on stage at Glastonbury 2024 this afternoon (June 28) by Blur‘s Damon Albarn, according to rumours.
Albarn joined the band on the song ‘Heaven’ from their new album ‘My Big Day’, and the band’s Jamie MacColl confirmed to Radio X that they will be joined during their Other Stage set by a featured guest from that album.
The reputable Glastonbury rumours Twitter/X account @secretglasto then fuelled the fire of the rumours, tweeting that the special guest “could make Bombay Bicycle Club’s set go by in a Blur.”
Elsewhere at Glastonbury 2024, Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker will also play a secret set at the festival tonight.
“GLASTONBURY come see me tonight at the Firmly Rooted sound system in Silver Hayes at 1am,” wrote Parker on Instagram. “DJ set. Should be pretty funnnnn.”
Parker’s involvement has also heightened speculation that he could be involved in Dua Lipa’s headline set this evening, having worked with the singer on her latest album, Radical Optimism.
