Billie Eilish will this week become the latest musical star to read a Bedtime Story on CBeebies.

The stories see musicians and stars from across the entertainment world read stories on the children’s TV channel, with the likes of IDLES’ Joe Talbot and The Last Dinner Party‘s Abigail Morris among recent guests.

On her episode, airing this Friday (July 19), Eilish will read from Oliver Jeffers’ story, This Moose Belongs to Me, about a young boy named Wilfred with an imaginary pet moose called Marcel.

Of the story, Eilish said: “We need to look after beautiful, wild creatures like Marcel, but we also need to let them do their own thing,” adding: “My favourite thing in the world as a child was a bedtime story and I would be upset if I didn’t get one. I had a lot and I loved them all!”

Others to have also told stories on CBeebies include Dave GrohlHarry StylesPhoebe Bridgers and Arlo Parks.

Eilish, meanwhile, released new album Hit Me Hard and Soft earlier this year.

Hit Me Hard and Soft marks Eilish’s third album, following 2021’s Happier Than Ever and her 2019 star-making debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
